Beginning Birding for Family and Friends with GOAS

The Greater Ozarks Audubon Society (GOAS) is hosting Beginning Birding at Springfield Conservation Nature Center on November 12th from 9:30-11:30 p.m. FREE—Open to the public and especially to beginning birders and families! Want to learn more about bird ID? We'll see birds up-close, and talk about field marks, fun facts and more, in the nature center's feeder viewing room.    Meets Birdability guidelines, with paved, accessible parking lot, sidewalks, interior, and restrooms.   Weather permitting, we'll walk some of the trails, (which do not meet Birdability criteria). I don’t know about you all, but for me, gull identification can be more difficult than warbler identification! Ring-billed Gulls, California Gulls, Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gulls!
