The Missouri Young Birders Club of Greater Kansas City
The Kansas City chapter is one of several Missouri Young Birders Clubs (MYBC) that are starting up around the state, an effort spearheaded and directed by the Missouri River Bird Observatory. The aim of the MYBC is to bring young people together to enjoy and learn about birds and conservation in an atmosphere of fun and friendship. The club meets monthly for birding field trips and other bird-related activities. In addition to birding, youth members will be given opportunities to take on leadership roles within the club and gain valuable experience.
Check out their facebook page to learn more and hear updates on field trips!
The Central chapter's region is not specific and has members from the Warrensburg, Sedalia, and Marshall Area! We are always looking for new members to join us not only to bird, but to do other fun nature-related activites! Bring the whole family as there is something for everyone. We love playing games and exploring the natural world in every way possible. We often meet at Knob Noster State Park in the Visitors Center. We hope you can join us at our next event!
You can find out when our next event is by visiting the main MYBC facebook page and this website!
